Nasal dilator stop-snoring devices are a popular option for snorers. I have tested a few and was eager to try this new one I have never heard of before – the Sleep Right Breathe Aid.
The design was very unique compared to other nasal strips I have tried. This product specifically, was not a nasal strip as there was no adhesive, but functioned the same way – dilating the nostrils to increase airflow.
About the Company
The company that manufactures and markets the Sleep Right is based in Kansas City, Missouri and has been operating since 1996.
They actually manufacture many over the counter healthcare products under the Sleep Right brand name, including but not limited to dental guards, tongue cleaners, memory foam pillows, and inhalers.
The facility they make the Sleep Right in is FDA inspected and registered. One impressive thing I noticed about the company is since 2014, 70% of their energy consumption is from solar based sources, I found that amazing.
The product itself is sold over the counter in many popular stores and drug store chains in the United States. International customers, such as those in Europe or Australia are also able to make the purchase.
A Closer Look at The Product
The Sleep Right Breathe Aide has a few unique points that make it different from other products on the market. The company markets it as being able to instantly relieve nasal congestion. This will obviously lead to a better night of sleep and less snoring because less congestion leads to a greater airflow.
They are also ready to use immediately as opposed to nasal strips which require a minor setup process. Typical MAD devices require a longer time to prepare for use, normally a boil and bite method and occasionally incremental adjustments for fine tuning for how far you want the jaw extended.
Another differentiation between this and nasal strips is Sleep Right will not leave any blemishes on the nose after use. Sometimes adhesives can leave a red mark or worse if the user has sensitive skin.
The ‘nasal flares’ as the company calls them are designed to expand each nasal passage, thereby increasing the airway volume as much as 58% while sleeping.
This is such a significant increase in airflow that it can stop snoring, relieve sinus congestion and even open a deviated septum to help you sleep better. This also increases the oxygen levels, which is important to more functions of the body.
Fitting the Nasal Dilator
Fitting the nasal apparatus was another new point for me. First, you can curve each side accordingly to how large or small your nostrils are. You can insert it in the ‘M’ shape or the ‘W’ shape, both are advertised as able to function according to the company.
I simply grabbed it by the u-shaped end and at a diagonal angle place one side of the product inside my nostril. Once I had that one side placed inside the nostril, with my free hand, I squeezed inward the other end and fit the other side into my other open nostril.
I kept holding onto the u-shaped end and wiggled it gently to make sure it felt secure and was properly in place.
This was an interesting product to test, and I have never tried anything like it before. I was initially worried about something that was going to fit my nose as I breathe through my mouth at night occasionally, a term that is also known as being a mouth breather.
I breathed out through my mouth with it on my nose until I was able to fall asleep; right away I was not accustomed to something like this. I thought this could be hard to use for the entire night, on the other hand, I was pretty satisfied to be going to sleep with nothing obtrusive inside my mouth.
I woke up feeling good and energized, which means I slept well the entire night and either did not snore or snored at an absolute minimum. I consulted my wife to see how the night went and she told me for the time that she was awake she did not hear any snoring from me either.
Looks like the product worked. I noticed some things however when I woke up that are not very common when using mouthpieces or other types of snoring aides I have tested.
First, falling asleep was difficult. This might be due to the fact that I normally do not use nasal devices to alleviate my snoring. Having something forcing my nostrils open in this way was a little uncomfortable, and I noticed it when trying to sleep.
Second, my mouth was unusually dry. When using MAD devices, normally the opposite is the case. I will wake up the first few nights with some drool; however, with the Sleep Right, my mouth was very parched.
Storing and cleaning the product for later was simple. I just washed it with cool water and mild soap and then stored it in the case provided for later use.

Some Reviews from Actual Customers
“Thank you so much, finally a product on the market that I can use that helps me sleep great and not snore. Customer for life, amazing product! Highly recommended.” – Cindy M.
“I just want to let you know that this works amazing. My husband has been snoring for as long as I can remember, and we’ve tried many products that just don’t work. No more sleeping on the couch for me! Thanks!!” -Michelle O.
“I am writing this to tell you that I love this product. I bought these at the store and from the first day I could see the difference. It is now 2 months later and I am loving it. I am definitely breathing through my nose and not my mouth, which is what I was worried about before. Sleeping better too, thank you!” -Mike M.
Price and Warranty
The price of the Sleep Right is a reasonable $9.99 for a pack of three. Each one will last you about 15 days, so you get a month and a half’s worth of strips for $9.99 which equates to about $80 per year.
More expensive than using a mouth guard that would last a year or even 18 months. If you choose to buy a 15 day or 30-day supply, the price increases substantially. For a 15 day supply the price is $4.99, and for a 30 day supply, the price is $8.99.
To test the product for 15 days you could purchase the 15-day supply, but after that, if you opt for long-term use, it is much better to go with the 45-day supply. The purchase includes a storage case and instruction booklet for all three options.
I did like the product. Among other products in the same space – nasal dilators – it was effective when compared to the rest. The price is relatively high when calculating how much you would be spending for the full year.
There is also no guarantee or refund given for those who are unhappy with the product. My favorite mouthpieces offer at least a 30-day money back guarantee. This makes me wonder why the company does not stand by its products and offer at least a refund for unhappy consumers.
I did like how there was no skin irritation using the product, and there is no invasive or intrusive feeling in the mouth; obviously, because nothing is in the mouth.
However, it was not the best choice for an anti-snoring device overall. I found that the proven solution of a MAD device to be the better choice. MAD devices are clinically proven and highly effective. I would recommend those over this product.
My Rating: 3.0
Which Product Should I Buy?
With well over 100 products on the market it can obviously be quite daunting to decide, “Which one?”
To help ease the decision process I have created a comparison chart where you can effortlessly assess each product and its features, price, pros and cons. I have also written several detailed reviews for those devices that I believe to be leading products.
If you would rather not spend a lot of time reading reviews, please take a look at the article linked here: My Mouthpiece Recommendation. It’s a list of three products which I believe, based on my extensive experience, are the best options available to people who suffer from snoring.
